Hello

I am Heidi Kidd, a textile artist by trade, and weekend painter. I am working in watercolor and soft pastel. I’m just starting my pastel journey I’m inspired by the dry medium and painterly outcome. I love the translucent nature of watercolor building up my paintings with layers of color from light to dark. I paint from nature the natural world inspires me.

I went to (F.I.T.) The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC earning my degree in Textile Design.  I also attended The Art Students League in NYC where I learned classical painting and drawing, and where world-renowned artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Jackson Pollock went. 

I designed this website myself so if you notice quirks, that is me learning on the fly. The artwork, photos, layouts, and blog are my unique creations.
